A new item available to loan from the IT office is the Zoom Q2 HD.
This small, unassuming piece of wizardry is ideal for people looking to quickly and easily record a video, with an emphasis on Audio Quality.
There are a number of issues when using a smartphone to record video. The video can be interrupted by a phone call, the audio quality is usually very poor especially when used in loud environments, and depending on the OS, it can occasionally be difficult to get the video off the device(especially if it is large in size).
The Zoom Q2 HD solves these issues as it is designed purely to capture video&audio. It uses SD cards, which can be easily be ejected and put into your Yoga in the SD slot on the side.
A really cool feature of the Q2 are the built-in microphones (3!).
You can also adjust the polarity of the microphones meaning you can increase or decrease the width of the stereo image, so you can control if you would like to record audio from all over the room or from a source more directly in front of the Zoom Q2.
