Last year at this time the following question was posed:
Can you access, edit, share and save your work on any computer (or smartphone)?
The suggested goal was that by this point of the 15/16 school year your answer should be yes. As we continue to improve our ed tech systems (2013, 2014 part 1 & part 2, 2015) all changes are purposefully aimed at streamlining communication to support agile teaching and learning.
As the web and shifts toward ubiquitous computing, we must adopt more contemporary digital tools to support teaching and learning.
At the start of this school year thirteen teachers (thanks Aynsley, Claudia G., Ian, Jason W., Adrian, Ali, Diya, Marie, Ann, Andreas, Peter, Will and Claudia S.) and over 80% of our student body started to do the hard user testing work during the Google Classroom pilot. Many changes were made throughout the year resulting in the version of Classroom we will officially start using next school year. Here are the pilot results which showcase many of the features that support streamlining communication.
Next year (2016-17) will be the last year that Zoodle is available to use as the virtual portion of your blended learning environment. Between now and then a variety of trainings will be available to help support you.
This Saturday’s Google Cloud Camp session kicks off the face to face group trainings and is one of many that will be offered to support you with this shift. To best plan for the additional trainings please fill out the form below:
